My justification was with regards to the Cabbie & Au Pair, who are rather unlikely to meet at a club/bar that plays Elvis -- I think Electronica/trance or the like would be a bit more dangerous and moody than Rockabilly, especially in the late 1990s when the play was written--Hare was showing his baby-boomer influences, rather than what Gen Xers were listening to at the time.
