This article is a recording of a conversation between New York critics that discuss the (then) current trend of imported plays on Broadway. It's a little long winded, but there is a short bit on The Blue Room (duly highlighted on page 3 for your convenience). Ben Brantley expresses his boredom of the play. I think this relates to our own questions about how to make the play more "dangerous"--how can we raise the stakes to make it more compelling in 2012?
