Blue Roses

The mythical "blue rose" is about to become available (sort of).  The blue rose is not naturally occurring, and is a symbol of the unattainable.  The characters of The Blue Room are also trying to reach for the unattainable, searching for love/lust/happiness/pleasure and never really achieving it.

As you can see the result is not a deep, luxurious blue but a light violet.  So, the impossible myth of the blue rose remains out of our hands, perhaps?
