From the MOMA exhibit book, Game Plan: “Somewhat related is the series of untitled works (1969-70) comprised from small circular stickers, place whole, halved, and quartered on sheets of gridded paper, so that the configurations of colored elements start to read as some kind of encrypted abstract system, the bright decorative hues creating an all-over patterning that disarms the solemnity of the exercise” (p. 22).
